Something about how the light shifts late August has me wanting to wrap my arms around every thing an hold it tightly; to call it clinging would be an understatement. The start of another school year for the kids leaves me wondering, “was I present enough? did I miss it?” I stare at my kids looking for signs of who they once were 5 years ago…. and even 5 minutes ago. The bittersweet beauty of awareness - the passing and impermanence - is often- too much to sit with. My mind ping pongs from, “you’re almost an AARP” to “how cool you’ve made it to almost AARP”… The beauty of it all takes my breath away. Thanks for putting it all into words much more beautifully than I could ever.

“Presence is refusing to miss your own life while it is happening.” This quote from you really helps me be present!
